The Tenggren Tell It Again Book

Yesterday, we talked about The Shy Little Kitten. The illustrator for that book was not only influential on the style of the early Little Golden Books, he also greatly influenced the look of the early Disney films (Snow White, Pinocchio, and more). The Animation Archive tells the full story of his break with Disney and his subsequent simplified (by his standards) style.

The article shows artwork from his Tell It Again book and they include some beautiful little cats, including the witch's cat from Hansel and Gretel and a bit of an illustration from Puss In Boots. Have a look and check out the links. They're so lovely.

These patterns are posted on the Japanese Clover website. I use a lot of Clover supplies and would happily accept any freebies. ;)

One word of warning about this pattern: It's all in Japanese. But you get the idea from the charts and diagrams they've included in the pdf. And it looks quite simple, really! I'll post some pictures if I get the time to make one.
